Through these upcycled functional artworks, I try and explore a connection between nature and the impact of impermanence. I chose a long learning process of trying to uncover a beauty that is born from rot. But it still raises a query about the transient nature of life itself.
All my artworks have handpainted details. It is a restored piece, so it will show grain variation. This trait makes Upcycld Art unique. These patterns sometimes bear inspiration from Indian miniatures. They are also inspired by floral bouquets of nature. Some created out of my childhood memories and my various travels across the country. They sometimes relate to tribal art forms also. These Upcycled Functional Art pieces do not need a purpose to showcase their beauty.
A whole lot of found, rejected wooden products make up my collection of handpainted Upcycled Functional Art. These items were initially manufactured as wooden decor or utility products for kitchenware, serveware, furniture or wall decor. But minor defects got them to the junk pile. But at Upcycld Art, I turn them into Handpainted Functional Art. This is a unique and original art, hand-painted piece of art. Its usage is open to your own interpretation.
Upcycld Art keeps its sustainability promise. I try to minimise my work’s carbon footprint by using clean recycled packing material. I also donate a tree in the client’s name for every wooden product sold. The client also receives an e-certificate via an email. This certificate has a unique tracking code to check the progress of their tree online.
Buying a Upcycld Art provides you with peace of mind. You know that you have made a positive choice for your family and the environment’s safe future. Your choice of buying upcycled products saved another tree from cutting.
