Dhonk Craft Ranthambore – Summer Travel Story Moments

Dhonk Craft Ranthambore: During our last trip to Rajasthan, we visited Ranthambore. There, through some references, I was introduced to Dhonk. It is a beautiful initiative. 

Dhonk Craftis a responsible private organization making handicrafts in and around Ranthambhore. They work with the ex-poachers families and local villagers. They are providing craft training to the villagers living around the Ranthambhore National park. Dhonk craft is creating useful employment opportunities to locals and ex-poachers families.

They also encourages artisans across the globe to come and interact with these groups. They encourage to exchange ideas & craft skills. Dhonk Craft is a platform for such artisans and local communities. This is where they can mutually benefit and learn.

Dhonk Craft products range from furnishing to apparels. These are appreciated by a wide range of consumers belonging to all age groups.

Dhonk Craft Ranthambore: The monetary returns from Dhonk help in managing Tiger Watch. Tiger watch is a Non-Government, Nonprofit organization working in Ranthambhore. They have been working for 11 years for wildlife and tiger conservation. They work for research and monitoring of wildlife. But its primary work has been anti-poaching and reform of a traditional poaching community – Mogya tribe.

The reform program includes giving alternate livelihood to the ex-poachers families. Under this several Mogya tribe, women were trained on handicraft work.
