Bani Thani Nightstands | Upcycled Furniture by upcycld art
This piece is a pair of wooden nightstands sourced from discarded furniture and made of Sheesham wood. It has been gently cleaned and mindfully repaired, without trying to hide its age, history, or earlier use. The original grain, surface marks, and small imperfections have been left intact. No attempt has been made to erase signs of age or previous use.
The upcycled nightstands can be used as a decor piece, or simply as bedroom or living space accent tables. It can also exist on its own as a quiet surface, allowing the material itself to be the focus.
The wood has been cleaned, repaired where necessary, and finished using non-toxic, natural pigments and oils.
The process is intentionally slow. Each piece is worked on individually, allowing the material to guide the final form rather than forcing uniformity or perfection.
This object carries marks from its previous life.
These may include uneven edges, colour variation, small cracks, or surface texture.
These are not defects. They are signs of age, use, and repair, and are considered part of the finished work.
