DIY With Kids – Easter, Eggshell Decoration Ideas – Easter Sunday is just around the corner and I’m going to show you a very easy and fun way to decorate some empty egg shells and have loads of fun while doing it with your kids!
What You Need:
Empty Egg Shells – Washed, cleaned and dried, as many as you want.
Printed Paper Napkins – torn-off strips or designs cut off
Some Acrylic colors, matching to the background or base color of your chosen napkin designs
Fevicol – diluted with some water
Scissors
A plastic straw
Small and medium craft brushes
How:
Pierce both ends of a raw egg using the tip of a sharp craft knife or a pin. Make the bottom hole a bit larger than the top one.
Hold the egg with the large hole at the bottom, over a bowl. Insert the tip of a plastic straw into the small hole and blow air into the egg to get all its content out into the bowl. Rinse the empty Eggshell with water and let dry completely.
Paint your eggshells with your selected acrylic colors as the base, You might need to do more than one coat if your egg is brown like ours was for your Easter DIY With Kids. Let the color dry up properly.
Cut around the designs on your paper napkin.
Start by coating a small part of the eggshell with some fevicol and start pasting your cutouts gently with a brush onto the surface. Smooth it out with the brush. You can add as much design as you want.
Do coat the entire eggshell with glue and let dry.
