This piece is a solid wood wall decor piece made upcycled scrap for Front -Teak Wood, for Back-MDF (sourced from local carpentry and furniture offcuts in Delhi). The wood was sourced from discarded material and shaped by hand, keeping its original grain, texture, and imperfections intact. No attempt has been made to erase signs of age or previous use.

The upcycled wooden holder can be used to hold keys, and small trinkets. It can also exist on its own as a quiet obejct, allowing the material itself to be the focus.

The wood has been cleaned, repaired where necessary, and finished using non-toxic, natural pigments and oils.

The process is intentionally slow. Each piece is worked on individually, allowing the material to guide the final form rather than forcing uniformity or perfection.

This object carries marks from its previous life.

These may include uneven edges, colour variation, small cracks, or surface texture.

These are not defects. They are signs of age, use, and repair, and are considered part of the finished work.
