ONE OF A KIND, Indian Craft Based Artisanal Collection – Designed & Curated By Design5 Studio

This is a limited edition, one of a kind collaboration. The entire collection is based on my designs, choices and concept, that are brought to life by Indian Crafts, made by skilled craft workers who created these pieces entirely by hand.
The end result is a collection which is functional and decorative, born out of scrap wood, leftover metal and sometimes fabric too.

The Karigar Collection

The artisans involved in this initiative, have extensive generational experience in various fields of crafts. Some belong to the brass inlay work, while some are experts in wood carving. Some have created the pottery products and some of them are miniature painting artists. There are furniture making artist to. The decorative arts artisan have given small accessories to this collection and some sculptures are also a part of this, Textile also plays a role in adding a unique touch to the to some pieces.

All of these artisan practice their crafts with all their heart and through experience & aptitude have reached the expressive levels of an artist.

Design5 keeps its sustainability promise. I try to minimise my work’s carbon footprint by using clean recycled packing material. I also donate a tree in the client’s name for every wooden product sold. The client also receives an e-certificate via an email with a unique tracking code to check the progress of their tree online.
